Globalist idols, Nationalist idols, and King Jehu

I have recently been watching a three-part video (or at least parts of it) titled: “King Jehu’s War Against Baal: A Biblical Prototype of the Great Awakening” (see here, here and here). While the three parts lasted over eight hours, I watched because it took me out of my comfort zone in a way I felt was needed and it made several important points; some of which I had not given much thought concerning (and some I had but were well articulated compared to and tying in with what I knew already), even though some of his opinions I disagreed (some strongly) with while recognising to a good extent where the presenter was coming from (and like us all, he offered perspectives that were part product of his own axioms, opinions and journey) when sharing his thoughts.
What particularly resonated was his expository teaching on Jehu (in Part 1), who we can read about in 2Kings 9-10 and 1Chronicles 22 and what I found challenging were his thoughts on wicked Queen Jezebel, wife of the tenth King of Israel, Ahab, along with the thought that one set of idols to worship were replaced by another. We first came across Jehu in 1Kings 19:16-17, when God told Elijah he was one of the three people he was to go and anoint.

I am undecided whether to recommend the videos but because the issue of Great Reset, Great Awakening and Great Reset, from a biblical perspective, is an important one, and it is one where knowledgeable and holy Christians hold sharply contrasting views, I decided to watch. Besides the Jehu story and its application, which I mainly agree with and will get to, a lot of the video was to criticise Christians, especially those I have labelled as modern-day political prophets, whose views he disagreed with for many reasons, including their setting up a nationalist idol as a replacement to the globalist one represented by those pushing the New World Order and assorted nefarious activities the presenter does not dispute.
Other than feeling a degree of discomfort by the way he condemned certain leaders of, for want of a better phrase, the nationalist leaning Great Awakening movement (that opposes the globalist Great Reset one), some of whose thoughts I have found to be helpful in the past (although some I haven’t), it is not my intention to critique the criticism offered other than that which relates to my subject, which the video helped to open up. I should declare an interest given four years ago I wrote “Jezebel Jehu and Trump – connecting the dots”. Moreover, I have been challenged for my welcoming of the Great Awakening as a counter to the Great Reset, as it being another example of the Great Deception and a conduit to Satan when he effectively operates in angel of light mode.

As far as the accompanying blurb goes:
“Part 1 of a study on King Jehu as a biblical prototype of the false light, “Great Awakening” movement. Jehu may have taken down Jezebel and Baal, but he promoted another kind of idolatry, an idolatry that has many parallels with the false light of patriotism, nationalism, and the New Age …
Part 2 of a study on King Jehu as a biblical prototype of the false light, “Great Awakening” movement. Jehu may have taken down Jezebel and Baal, but he promoted another kind of idolatry, an idolatry that has many parallels with the false light of patriotism, nationalism, and the New Age. In this part we’ll be taking a close look at the concept of the “Jezebel spirit,” and examine how it’s a “Christianized” version of the “matrix” concept within trutherism and the New Age …
Part 3 of a study on King Jehu as a biblical prototype of the false light, “Great Awakening” movement. Jehu may have taken down Jezebel and Baal, but he promoted another kind of idolatry, an idolatry that has many parallels with the false light of patriotism, nationalism, and the New Age. In this part we start looking at some of the pastors and influencers leading the larger “cultural war” against Jezebel, which is deceptively being portrayed as a spiritual war. We also examine postmillennialism a bit and analyze the biblical inaccuracy of the idea that Jesus is currently king and that the millennial kingdom started during the first century. All of these ideas are linked with the overall Jehu movement growing within the church”.

The words of the Lord to Elijah on Mount Horeb, where he had fled from Jezebel after defeating the prophets of Baal, are pertinent to our thoughts: “And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room. And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay” 1Kings 19:16,17. Jehu was to fulfil all what God said would happen concerning the house of Ahab, by being the instrument of divine justice, following him being anointed by Elisha’s proxy (a young prophet). Jehu was rigorous and ruthless in fulfilling a duty, which he recognised was God given and he removed all Baal worship from the land. Yet what started promisingly, ended tragically:
“Howbeit from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, Jehu departed not from after them, to wit, the golden calves that were in Bethel, and that were in Dan … Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the Lord God of Israel with all his heart: for he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam, which made Israel to sin. In those days the Lord began to cut Israel short: and Hazael smote them in all the coasts of Israel” 2Kings 10:29,31-32. As for Jehu, it was a story of what could have been, but wasn’t: “And the Lord said unto Jehu, Because thou hast done well in executing that which is right in mine eyes, and hast done unto the house of Ahab according to all that was in mine heart, thy children of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel” 2Kings 10:30. The tragedy continued with Israel continuing to practice idolatry, ending with it being taken into exile, and with a similar fate later to Judah.

This story is one I am familiar with and it was touched on in my “Prophets of the Bible” book and I will do so again if/when I write my “Kings of the Bible” sequel. What the video brought home to me was something I had not previously given much thought to – Baal was a foreign god that might be associated today with the globalist cabal pushing its evil agenda under the umbrella of the New World Order. This was to be replaced by national gods, golden calves, first seen in Exodus 32 when Moses was receiving the Law on Mount Sinai and later re-introduced by Jeroboam, the first king of Israel after seceding from Judah, in 1Kings 12. It was argued this was associated with the motley alliance of political prophets, New Agers and people waking up to the wickedness of the globalist cabal.
Comparing the two bulls, Baal seems worst with its links to child sacrifice etc. The golden calves are more akin to the nominal Christianity that we can see all around us, deeply permeating society, and seen as a more agreeable alternative to the real thing.

Regarding the video, I gather from the associated Facebook page, it is a product of “E511 Ministries” which aims to “expose the works of darkness to help the unsaved see the light of Christ, and provide the saved with the resolve to keep moving forward in their walk with the Lord”, and the presenter is one, John Blanchette (who shares his testimony on that page). My gut feeling is to differ from some of his conclusions (reasons why, I may or may not elaborate in the future), as he links a home grown form of idolatry to an assortment of “Great Awakeners”, “Truthers”, “Gnostics”, “Dominionists”, “New Agers”, “Patriot” and disciples of some of the new strands of church we see emerging, accusing them of being too pre-occupied with all sorts of bad things going wrong in the world by the hands of the globalists and neglecting their own personal responsibilities before God.
It also explains why certain Christians who share my views on issues like the Corona pan (scam) demic and the nature and intents of the evil cabal that seeks to enslave humanity, recoil from other Christians who believe this yet hope for a Great Awakening. One observation concerning real Christians is many in the not Great Awakening camp can be deceived just as many who are in that camp, and is why we should be iron sharpeners and try to encourage one another, for any of us could succumb to satanic deception.

Before I conclude, I would like to plug some of my writings, not because I want to push me (and, for the record, some of my own trials of late have been as a result of the Lord telling me that I need to push him and not me) but because it is not only tied in with my conclusions but will help explain how I got to this point of arguing the case I do. Some years ago, I wrote a book titled “Outside the Camp”, which told my story as a gospel preaching, community activist that was to shortly get more involved in being a watchman on the wall. My text was “Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach” Hebrews 13:13, but only having first gone inside the veil (which we can enter because of what Jesus did when he died and rose again) in order to commune with God.
While I cringe somewhat because of what I wrote, this still governs my approach to what I am seeing and why I cannot go along with those who put themselves above these considerations, given we are left here on planet earth, not just to be holy and tell people to flee from the wrath to come but to positively contribute to our communities and, in order to do so, we need to understand what is going on to know how to respond. I would also like to mention three recent blogs: “The Antichrist and Bible prophecy”, “Little children, keep yourselves from idols” and “Facing the Great Deception and handling Satan’s devices”, all of which relate to things we need to watch out for and how to approach Globalist idols, Nationalist idols, and King Jehu.

I don’t believe God is telling us to take sides with globalists or nationalists, and neither is He telling us to endorse great resetters, great awakeners, or sitters on the fence, because we are going to be raptured out of it all before things get too hot or because we are indifferent to / ignorant of the whole subject or because we are too holy. But He is calling us to flee from idolatry, whether it be foreign or domestic, and to be faithful to Him. For the record and by way of repetition, while I do NOT believe the next big event to be a thousand years of peace following the hoped for Fall of the Cabal (for that to happen, Christ must first come in glory and before that the Antichrist must emerge), I believe in a partial Great Awakening even if the bad guys comeuppance is delayed, because loving our neighbor requires us to seek what is just, righteous, true etc., and especially that people find the Salvation that comes from God.
I expect certain scriptures to be fulfilled before Jesus comes again, e.g. the Spirit being poured out on all flesh (including a harvest of souls won for Christ) Joel 2:28-32, Acts 2:16-21, and an answer to Jesus’ prayer “that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me” John 17:21.

Regarding what next or what is really happening in the world as I write, there is much we don’t know, are not meant to know and won’t know this side of the grave, but one thing we do know …
