I confess after having written two installments of my “Football World Cup 2022 – the story so far” (see here and here) mini-series, I hadn’t expected to be doing a third until after the final. But I relent given the football has been of a high standard and a lot better than what I predicted would be the case before the tournament.

We are about to reach the knock out stages of the Football World Cup 2022, meaning in terms of number of games played we are well past the half way stage but soon the fun really begins as teams have to win their games, often against sterner opposition, in order to progress, instead of just doing enough to qualify from their groups.

Both rightly question the official narrative and are unafraid to say so, resulting in considerable flak dished out by the “Unholy Trinity”, who continue to dumb down the public.
