The following is the draft of the latest chapter written that will be included in my forthcoming book “Priests of the Bible“.

Three weeks ago, I wrote “Rugby World Cup 2023 – my thoughts”, just after that tournament had ended. Overlapping was the Cricket ODI World Cup 2023 tournament. Today the tournament ended and we now know the winner …

On February 22^nd 2014, I entered the blogosphere with my first blog, which I titled: “Hello World”. What I am writing now is blog number 2300. I have used my writing bent to write about what I see going on around me when, as I must, and with reference to a book I wrote some years ago, go “outside the camp”.

As folk who follow me will know, my major writing project (likely my last) is writing a three-part book to be titled “Priests of the Bible” – Part 1: the Priesthood, Part 2: the Priests, Part 3: a Priestly People. This article follows two Israel related articles following the 7^th October attacks: “Israel and Calvinism – two hot potatoes” and “Israel at war and what is happening in Israel today”.  

The following is the latest chapter to appear in my forthcoming book: “Priests of the Bible”.

Yesterday, I learned of the death of my old friend, Ron Wright.

What follows is an addendum to something I posted four months ago relating to my testimony (see here) and I intend to be included in my forthcoming book: “Priests of the Bible“.

In this latest chapter in my Priests of the Bible project, I reflect on what the Bible has to teach us concerning sacrifices and offerings.

For the past two months, forget football, forget cricket, for my sporting interest has been primarily been to do with following the 2023 (men’s) Rugby (Union) World Cup, played in France. Last night I watched (on ITV, whose coverage throughout the tournament has been excellent) the final between the two foremost rugby nations – South Africa and New Zealand. And now we know – South Africa are once again the world champions but, in our looking back, let’s start from the beginning …
