Israel at war and what is happening in Israel today

As a watchman on the wall, I look around at what is happening in the world today and comment, trying to do (with God’s help) what watchmen in the Bible have always done, i.e. warn the people. I don’t claim to be a prophet or have special knowledge and recognise not just there is much I don’t know but this is especially the case concerning Israel. Moreover, there are many different perspectives on offer, including by good people who love the Lord, and the challenge is to discover the truth. In my attempt to do so, I have upset many, including Christians who imho ought to know better, and have been called various names, such as a “far right conspiracy theorist”, but at the same time I have encouraged many who are not just waking up to the idea that the world is moving in the wrong direction, led by fools and villains, but we are being lied to.

It struck me long ago that even if Israel was out of the news, which for a season has been the case up to recently, they are never far away from occupying centre stage. I hold this view, not just because of what I am seeing on my wall but because the Bible has a lot to say about Israel in the Last Days, and I have no doubt from my reading of the Bible that we are living in the Last Days. It is true, students of Bible prophecy have long been making these claims but we are seeing things today that our spiritual forefathers could only have seen as less than clear as doing so from a far distance – things like the New World Order, the alignment of nations, the Mark of the Beast, the Babylonian system and Israel as a nation. But my purpose in writing here is to focus on Israel, trying to marry up what the Bible teaches on Israel and Last Days, with what all sorts of media tells us and the differing interpretations being banded around.

I first knew something was afoot when a member of my church asked for prayer on our church’s WhatsApp page. The prayer was concerning a number of his relatives who were living in Israel being called up for military service because of the events that I have no need to recount because all shades of opinion/agenda media have been reporting it. A poignant fact is the atrocities occurred on the last day (a day of joy) of the Feast or Tabernacles. Because this is as significant and probably more so as other major happenings in the world I write on, I knew it would be remiss of me not to dig deeper and find out not only what is happening but the whys and wherefores. Before I get into upsetting all and sundry mode, I must first express my own outrage at attacks on civilian citizens.

While this slaughter has been widely condemned, I resonate with the bemusement/outrage because of the foolish, worldwide support of Hamas, who carried out the attack. While those who do so point out the Palestinians (who I am going to refer to as Arabs or descendants of Abraham’s other son – Ishmael) living in Gaza (where the attacks originated from) have their own legitimate grievances, who are governed by a horrible regime under the thumb of Hamas (and I don’t know enough to say to what extent they are correct), but will quote my dad: “two wrongs don’t make a right”.

A number of friends have shared articles and videos on the matter and along with my own checking out of mainstream and alternative media I was astounded, although on refection not surprised on the variety of views offered, including among Christians in the same theologically speaking camp as me. When one trusted friend whose thoughtfulness and ability not to take offence sent me a link to yet another article concerning Israel goings on by a “sound” Christian, I responded, slightly tongue in cheek: “thanks xxx – another to add to pile of deliberations by nice Christians that get some of but not all of what is going on. I’m inclined to agree with David Icke that it is an aka 9/11 false flag event being played out and given the baddies in the Ukraine conflict to advance their enslavement/depopulation agenda, helped maybe by bringing about WW3, supporting Israel, and these are the same people that are pointing their finger at Iran and Russia, I am even more sceptical. I’ve been reading different reports with the view to blog but on reflection I am taking a leaf out of the book of xxx (xxx is someone we both knew way back) and keep my own counsel for the time being”.

My friend replied encouragingly, suggesting I post nevertheless, and point out the various theories being put forward. The clincher is she mentioned one, J D Farag, who preached on what he thinks is going on, in the light of Bible prophecy, making the point there is more to this than meets the eye. As a result of listening to what Farag, someone who is well respected within some of the Christian circles I move in, had to say, was important, despite some disagreements on matters eschatological. I was thus emboldened to write as I now do, beginning with a quote by “conspiracy theorist/nutter”, David Icke, who is often more right than wrong, knowing this will enrage friends holding a variety of views, ranging from those who think Russia and Putin are the bad guys to those who think Benjamin Netanyahu is the Israel equivalent of Donald Trump, anointed by the Almighty to drain the swamp in his neck of the woods.

Here I am really sticking my neck out because many in my theological stable see Netanyahu as a hero, but the way I see it, he knew what was coming and is now taking a leaf out of Bush junior’s book, who knew what was coming concerning 9/11 and was thus empowered to act in “let’s get them mode”. Possible reasons for doing so include: a. as a result of the terror attack he has got a. his political opponents onside, b. he now has worldwide sympathy c. he has deflected for a season growing criticism of him prior to the attack and d. this is a chance to realise his goals of destroying Hamas and Hezbollah and neutralising Iran. It is easy to see in a bizarre way how all this has also reawakened Palestinian support and with it the taking of sides among nations leading to the battles the Bible predicted, with God intervening on Israel’s behalf.

As I said at the start, there is a lot I don’t know, including the subtle and nefarious interactions among members of the evil cabal that run planet earth and how this will lead to an end times Gog and Magog war, spoken off in Ezekiel 38 and 39, and elsewhere, when Israel will finally come to see their Messiah as the only one who can deliver them. I have little doubt that, having lost the war in Ukraine, the globalist alliance led by the USA under a fake president will try to get one going centered around Israel as they go in heavy against Hamas and those deemed to be anti-Israel, while untowardly affecting Arabs/Palestinians living in occupied Israeli territories, and then Iran, likely killing many hapless civilians in the process. This will likely draw in support for Israel’s enemies and a world war. Ironically, Hamas was partly created by the USA, who also contributed to the troubles because of the weapons left behind in USA’s Afghanistan withdrawal and the six billion dollars US recently gave back to Iran now being used to fund arming terrorists.

Back to the events at the weekend as being Israel’s 9/11, I agree but not for the reason commonly given. I think it is likely 9/11 was a false flag event so President George W Bush could take over countries like Libya and Iraq. I suspect Benjamin Netanyahu on his righteously indignant high horse is doing something similar – the fact that Israel with is intelligence network was caught by surprise by the weekend attacks is unbelievable and if so, rather than being one of the good guys, he is pure evil. The people who suffered are innocent Israeli citizens, sadly soon to be followed by innocent Arab/Palestinian citizens. It is these I have sympathy for. As for those leading and in the know on both sides I have none.

A pertinent question is “what have George Galloway, Jeremy Corbyn, Stephen Sizer and David Icke got in common”? The answer is that in recent years they have all been cancelled/de-platformed and have been accused of being antisemite. I take issue with all of these for all sorts of reasons, but I am far from convinced they are antisemite. Moreover, it has been largely at the bequest of a powerful Jewish lobby who remind me more of the synagogue of Satan in Revelation 2 than children of Abraham. It is easy as I have found out to my cost to name call, as did one preacher friend of mine who accused the Protestant Reformers of being antisemite. It is true some, maybe many, embraced replacement theology, and even more true they didn’t go far enough in understanding the whole counsel of God, but I doubt most were antisemite but rather focused their energies, sometimes at the cost of their lives, in standing upon the authority of holy scripture, the priesthood of all believers and justification by faith. While most reading this will not know what I am getting at, there will be some who certainly will.

My current writing project is “Priests of the Bible”. I have been publishing drafts of some of the sixty chapters, that will appear when the book is published early next year, on my website. While I am keen to plug the book, I mention this because contrary to what we might sense listening to the preaching from many a pulpit, God has not done with Israel and that in order for Gentile Christians to properly understand God’s purposes for the Church, they need to understand His ways with Israel, who remain His specially chosen people. I have little doubt that Israel will occupy centre stage in the eyes of Him who matters more than any – the Lord God of Israel.

Moreover, as my Bible quotes show, I am passionately pro-Israel and well as loving the Arab / Palestinians. I’m happy to plough a lonely furrow and upset some of my pro-Jewish “Messianic” friends by saying Israel has acted wickedly, despite having their hands tied, keeping Palestinians in something reminiscent of concentration camps, in mandating the evil jab against C*d, adopting the sins the Hebrew prophets warned them against, mischief making in world affairs including joining the “cabal”, and of course rejecting their Messiah. The good news is the God of Israel knows all and all is under his control. Worship Him and pray for all affected!
