Fish and Chips – probably my favourite meal

If asked what is my favourite meal – it would be fish and chips. My preferred fish are skate, haddock, cod, plaice and sole, probably in that order and cooked aright with the right batter cover. My extras would include mushy peas, pickled or even raw onion, gherkin, beetroot. My condiments would be salt, vinegar and tartar sauce. I have favourite fish and chip shops but on her day my wife is good. My main requirement for fish is just “jumped out of the sea”.

My best ever TV series

These days, I watch hardly any television, but going back to my childhood, I watched a lot, and even now I have fond memories of my favourite TV series, both home grown (i.e. from the UK) or imported from the USA. I give a list (in no particular order) of my top ten and, except in the case of the last one, share links to where the episodes from the respective series can be freely watched on YouTube. I haven’t added reasons why I liked these particular series (suffice to say – I had my reasons), while recognising that some were better at developing a story line than others, and as for what these TV series were all about – I suggest check out Wikipedia etc.

Christ in the Psalms (1)

My major deep dive Bible study project at this time is “Christ in the Old Testament”. I have already posted my thoughts on “Jesus on the Emmaus Road”, where this subject is opened up, “Christ in the Law” and “Christ in the Prophets”, where many examples can be found, and now I turn our attention to “Christ in the Psalms”.
