The death of Pope Francis and a spiritual awakening – EVERYWHERE

My season of not blogging all that much continues despite there being so much blog worthy material around and my not letting up observing what is happening around me along with a deepening sense of foreboding because it is at an alarming rate. I sense huge change is in the air, especially in the spiritual realm and, while a lot of that is positive, I also recognise the danger of over pontificating, noting many voices around offering conflicting perspectives, while the one that truly matters is God’s. Yet as the good book reminds us: there is a time to blog and a time to refrain from blogging. Wisdom and truth is needed and knowing when to blog and when not to.

A nation at a crossroads, how things can be turned around, where our hope should lie

Incredibly for me, it has been two weeks since I last blogged. It is not that there is a shortage of blog worthy material, nor that I have stopped watching on my wall, but rather that I hadn’t quite figured out how to tackle the subject I wanted to write about (ref. the title) that goes to the heart of what are my own present preoccupations.

Christ in Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy

One of my latest Bible study projects is to go through all of the Old Testament and reflect on those texts that have something to do with Jesus Christ.  I am leading Bible studies on the subject at my local church, under the title of “Christ in the Old Testament” and last night we concentrated our attentions on Christ in Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. The marvellous truth is that Christ is found in every book of the Hebrew scriptures, for example:

Can Andrew Bridgen, Ben Habib and Rupert Lowe HELP Us?

One of my regular daily routines is to check out links on YouTube (along with other outlets) for stuff that may be of personal interest, especially if it does throw further light on a subject that I consider is important. Today, I came across one such video (see here), which has the same title as that of this blog, along with other videos that stirred me up sufficiently to share the thoughts that follow.
