England restore joy to all aspects of Test Cricket

That was the headline introducing today’s BBC report of England’s historic win against Pakistan, in Pakistan, following victory in the Third Cricket Test in Karachi (England winning the first two).

After writing my “World Cup 2022: Tournament in Qatar set to get under way”, I hadn’t reckoned doing the five instalments in my “Football World Cup 2022 – the story so far” series to follow it and prior to this post, when the original intention was to post again once we knew who is the winner, which now we do!

I commented in my previous Football World Cup 2022 – the story so far post (see here), following the end of the Round of 16, that I had not expected to post until after the Final, but there was so much blog-worthy material and thus I relented. The same sentiment applies concerning the Quarter Finals, just ended.

Should Christians celebrate Christmas (and if so how) – a personal response

 I made a comment in our car when taking my better half to work this morning that there seemed to be less Christmas lights and decorations on display in the houses we passed on the way, compared with previous years, and wondered why that was so.
