A few days back, I posted on my social media some of the recent thoughts of Veronika West, a respected, modern-day “political prophet”, concerning Donald Trump and the part he does and ought to play in happenings in the world today:

My preamble:

“As folk who follow me know, I take an interest in what the political prophets have to say as well as DJT! I’ve lost a number of friends, including from the constituency I care about most, not only from my own tribe that believe the gift of prophecy is NOT for TODAY, but from tribes who do. I care less about upsetting anyone these days other than the God I serve. Soon, I’ll be out of it and as I told my old school mate recently, who following a life as a bad lad is now a follower of Jesus, that all I want now is to leave planet earth and those left on it, when I do, in a better place (principally at peace with God, more aligned to His ways and purposes, than it is). Trump – a Cyrus, Jehu or even a Herod, opinions differ widely, BUT I  believe he has an assignment from God and our job is to pray for him and the world he is trying to change, especially that he carry that assignment through and unlike Jehu who replaced global idols with national ones not to get waylaid after carrying the assignment that he was anointed to do via Elijah/Elisha, the prophets of their day. As with all prophecy: TEST AND WEIGH!”

What Veronika had written:

…So Listen!…When you hear their Accusations…and feel the weight of the words from those who Claim to speak for Me…

…Beloved Son…I Do not measure as man measures…I look at the Heart…

Take a Look at My Servant David…the Mighty Giant Slayer…a man who sinned, yet turned back to Me in True Repentance…and I showed him Mercy…

…I Say…Do not be Moved by the Approval of the Crowds that praise you today and will seek to Crucify you tomorrow…

…for I Tell you…the Fear of man is a snare…

…Seek Only to Do My Will…

…I Tell you Again…I raise up Whom I will…Whom I Choose….and I Use Whom I Choose…and often in Ways that confound the Wise and Offend the Proud….

Donald Trump became the 45th President of the United States on January 20, 2017, and served until January 20, 2021. He was then elected to a non-consecutive second term and assumed the presidency again on January 20, 2025, as the 47th President of the United States. Some argue (me included) that if the election for the 46th President hadn’t been rigged, he would have become POTUS once again on January 20 2021, but it wasn’t to be. What has remained the case for that whole period was that Trump was hardly ever far from significant actions of the world stage. This was something I cottoned on to when I wrote my first episode in my Trumpwatch series (see here), March 21 2017. This is episode 77!  While people have me down as a Trump supporter, that is not the case. The one I support is El Shaddai – the Lord God Almighty, who has everything under His control and uses unlikely people, including the Donald, to carry out assignments on His behalf.

My episode before this was posted January 24 2026 and titled: “Trumpwatch 76 – King Jehu, the Board of Peace, Greenland, Davos and Psalm 2” (see here), when a lot was happening as can be seen from the title that didn’t even mention Iran. Trump, throughout my blogging concerning the man, has remained a controversial figure and no less today when all sorts of figures who once supported him are now turning against him and voices calling for his demise are calling out more than ever.

Excuse my laziness, but this is what AI told me regarding some of the recent criticisms directed at Trump:

“- Trump’s Jesus Image: Trump posted an AI-generated image of himself as Jesus, which sparked widespread criticism, including from some of his Christian supporters. House Speaker Mike Johnson asked Trump to delete the image, calling it “disgusting and unacceptable”.

– Destruction of Iran: Trump has made threats to destroy Iran’s “whole civilization” if Tehran doesn’t agree to open the Strait of Hormuz. Pope Leo XIV criticized Trump’s threats, saying they were “truly unacceptable” and fueled by a “delusion of omnipotence”.

– Alignment with Israel: Trump’s support for Israel’s actions has been criticized, particularly in the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Pope Leo XIV has expressed opposition to the war in Iran and called for peace negotiations.”

As for other modern-day political prophets, and again excuse my laziness, this is what AI told me about two of them, both (unlike some/many) I have come to see as being the real deal:

“Mark Taylor, a retired firefighter, claims to have received a prophecy from God in 2011 predicting Donald Trump’s presidency. Taylor believes God chose Trump for “such a time as this” to restore America and revive Christianity. He shares his story in the book “The Trump Prophecies: The Astonishing True Story of the Man Who Saw Tomorrow…and What He Says Is Coming Next”.

Taylor’s prophecy states: “The Spirit of God says, I have chosen this man, Donald Trump, for such a time as this. For as Benjamin Netanyahu is to Israel, so shall this man be to the United States of America. For I will use this man to bring honor, respect and restoration to America”.”

There are many more sources I could quote, but let me end my quoting following something that my fellow watcher on the wall, Richard Barker, recently posted on his Telegram channel:

8- Thank you because you exposed the falsehood of what is called the Axis of Resistance, which raised slogans for decades while its rifles were aimed at Arab capitals more than at its declared enemies.

9- Thank you because you proved that firmness is sometimes the shortest path to peace, and that prolonged hesitation may breed a greater war in the future.

10- Thank you because you gave the peoples of the region hope that the era of blackmail with missiles and drones is not an eternal fate.

11- Thank you because you said in the language of power what years of fruitless negotiations failed to achieve: that the security of allied nations and their sovereignty are red lines.

12- Thank you because you sent a clear message to all who think of threatening their neighbors, that the world may be patient… but it does not forget.

13- Thank you because you stood with your allies when they needed a stance, not just words.

14- Thank you because you understood that stability is not made by those who fund chaos, but by those who deter it.

15- And finally, thank you… because you made many review their calculations, and realize that the time of recklessness may be long… but it does not last.

As for us in the Gulf… we want real peace, the peace of nations not the peace of militias, the peace of development not the peace of fear, the peace of the future not the peace of slogans.”

Of course, there is a lot more that could be said but I have gone on long enough. To cut to the chase – like many, I have been watching what is happen with a sense of consternation and frustration (humanly speaking) of what is going on in the world – consternation because of the threats the current situation with the USA, Iran and Israel at the centre poses and frustration because I don’t know half of what is going on in what appears as a dark leaning pantomime. If there is a word of wisdom I might like to add, it is along the lines: “what you are seeing or being told is not what you think”! As for the longer than my arm list of Trump criticisms, some of which are valid, from where I stand, he has done more than anyone in thwarting the efforts of the even longer than my arm list of bad guys in their attempts to screw us (who pose a threat to our well-being).
