Sandy Hook and the Right to Bear Arms

Like most Brits, there was a time I would have been bemused at the importance attached by many Americans, especially those of a more fundamentalist ilk, with protecting the “Second Amendment” with its “Right to Bear Arms”. Like many, I would have gone along with the official version of events of what took place in mass school shootings, typically that alleged to have taken place at Sandy Hook.

That was then (just a few years ago) but now with oceans having flowed under the proverbial bridge since then, I am a lot more sympathetic to my USA fundamentalist brethren who believe not only in the need to believe in Jesus to avoid the wrath to come but it is ok to own a gun to protect oneself, not so much against those coming after one (turn the other cheek and all that) but the bad guys who couldn’t care a toss about what the claimants to the moral high ground have to say, who will go after our family and community with importunity, knowing we lack the means to defend ourselves.

Of course, there are theological questions to be posed around what the Almighty thinks on the matter and what the Bible teaches, and we are not short of Christian leaders who, as I have found to my cost, are happy to denounce those brethren who think the Second Amendment may be a good idea. I am happy to debate theologically and based on history on the merits or otherwise of gun ownership by ordinary people, having come to a view that even in our so called enlightened democracies I trust government no further that I can throw them and for reasons mentioned in this “YOU MIGHT BE SURPRISED! TOP 5 REASONS OUR FOUNDING FATHERS WROTE THE 2ND AMENDMENT!” video.

As far as the UK goes, gun ownership unless with lots of restrictions is BANNED. Like many, I am not in any hurry to change this and am agnostic as to whether it has resulted in less gun crime or if other methods to kill people, such as knives, have made up any shortfall. But not so in the USA, where the matter is a highly politicised one, along the lines of non-RINO Republicans versus Democrats. While, I pride myself as being politically neutral with no particular axe to grind regarding guns, I prefer the non-Rino Republicans, but for reasons not to do with guns, as discussed in some of my other blogs.

I unashamedly listen to the Alex Jones show as part of my regular news feed, in order to counter the narrative of lying mainstream media, get informed and come to a balanced view on world events. Often the man is vilified for saying the Sandy Hook shootings never happened according to the official narrative. He has recently been subject to a court case, which resulted: “Alex Jones ordered to pay additional $45m in punitive damages to family of Sandy Hook victim Alex Jones’ Infowars has seen its sales soar since his Sandy Hook defamation trial, where he was ordered to pay almost $50m in damages to the parents of a child murdered in the mass shooting after he spread lies about the massacre being “a hoax”.”

According to Wikipedia: “The Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting occurred on December 14, 2012, in Newtown, Connecticut, United States, when 20-year-old Adam Lanza shot and killed 26 people. 20 of the victims were children between 6 and 7 years old, and six were adult staff members. Earlier that day, before driving to the school, Lanza shot and killed his mother at their Newtown home. As first responders arrived at the school, Lanza committed suicide by shooting himself in the head. The incident is the deadliest mass shooting at an elementary school in U.S. history, and the fourth-deadliest mass shooting overall. The shooting prompted renewed debate about gun control in the United States, including proposals to make the background-check system universal, and for new federal and state gun legislation banning the sale and manufacture of certain types of semi-automatic firearms and magazines which can hold more than ten rounds of ammunition.”   

I recently watched a 90-minute video: “James Fetzer on the Sandy Hook Cover-Up”. The accompanying blurb reads: “Jim Fetzer is the guest of well-respected video blogger, Jeremy, “Jerm Warfare” from South Africa. What actually happened at the school, and was it a false flag operation to usher in stricter gun laws?”. As for “what happened”, as far as the presenter, who rattled along at a fast pace making what seems a credible case, goes – as incredible as it seems, what actually went on was nothing like what we are told and it was a false flag operation to usher in stricter gun laws!

As with so much I am being exposed to these days, that does not fit the official narrative, it is a matter of test and weigh. Regarding the Second Amendment, and speaking as a non-US citizen that watches with concern what is happening in America, for no other reason that if America falls to the evil cabal so will Britain and the rest of the world, I say keep the Second Amendment for no other reason than Obama, and the other bad guys to follow or in bed with him, have used Sandy Hook and a number of school gun shootings that followed, to impose gun control as part of their devious plan to screw Americans and to make them slaves to the system the bad guys want for them. We are also seeing in all this yet another example of the corruption and politicization of the FBI and DOJ.
