Prophecy Corona Conspiracy Reset Church

Introduction

When it comes to the subjects of prophecy, corona, conspiracy and church, I have blogged already extensively on all these subjects and do not wish to appear to be like the rewinding gramophone record, such that depending whether one agrees or not or finds helpful or not, with my views, people then decide whether or not to read. While some repetition is necessary, especially for the sake of those unfamiliar with my past thoughts on these subjects, I want to use the opportunity writing this latest blog affords me to reflect on how things are now and explain why these subjects are connected.

Prophecy

As some will know, a good part of last year was spent writing in my book Prophets of the Bible, an overview of which and a free download can be got by clicking on this link. Needless to say, Bible Prophecy is a subject that interests me like, dare I say it, many an old man that has had his day, but nevertheless an important one in coming to a rounded understanding of what is happening in the world today and what God is doing about it. It is a subject that many Christians are indifferent to and, as for those who aren’t, there will be differences in opinion. While most will agree that Jesus is coming again, a lot less will believe it will be preceded by a period of Tribulation when the Antichrist causes havoc and succeeded by a literal millennium when Israel comes into its own. All this has a bearing on what is to follow, as well as the place of political prophets, some having prophesied the return of Trump as US President and declared what God is saying about things to be.

Corona

What took the world by storm in early 2020 has still not yet ran its course. Even with the recent easing of restrictions in the UK, it is clear many choose to wear the mask, even when they are free not to do so. People are still divided including vaccines / masks bad and good camps. People are still being “pinged” by the NHS App and told to isolate because someone nearby has contracted the virus. People are still being PCR or lateral flow tested for the virus. The pressure is still on for people to take the jab, including children and the real threat of needing vaccine passports for one to be allowed to do certain things. While the majority are prepared to side with government / media / experts, a growing number aren’t, evidenced by protests going on, the world over. Normality is a distant dream and many believe having another lockdown is only a matter of time.  

Conspiracy

According to one write up: “Conspiracy theories have a long history, but the actual term “conspiracy theory” emerged much more recently. It was only a few decades ago that the term took on the derogatory connotations it has today, where to call someone a conspiracy theorist functions as an insult”. Some believe people who embrace conspiracy theories, typically found in alternative media, to be deluded; some believe those who reject conspiracy theories, typically those who follow mainstream media, are the ones deluded; some don’t know or don’t care. What is true, how we view so called conspiracy theories will affect our views on much that is happening generally, will happen and should happen. What we might all agree, is there is a lot we don’t know but it shouldn’t deter us wanting to find out the truth if we happen to believe it is the truth that sets humanity free. The two big unresolved issues lending themselves to such thoughts are Corona and the US election steal.   

Reset

The Great Reset is a term being currently banded around, replacing such terms as New World Order, by many good and great, such as Prince Charles, leaders of the World Economic Forum and found in statements as Agenda 2030 coming out of the United Nations with pressure brought to bear for nations to follow. Given what has happened, e.g. lockdown as a result of Covid-19, this, it is argued, is the way forward for the world to progress. Some who oppose this idea see it as part of the agenda of an evil cabal, a tiny elite whose purpose, rather than being benign, is to reduce populations and enslave humanity. Some opposers hope there will be good version of the global reset, with people waking up to the evil that is going on in the world, e.g. Covid-19 / vaccines as bio weapons, human and especially child trafficking and the greedy cabal siphoning off the money it has stolen from the rest of humanity, and at the top of the cabal pyramid is Satan himself – but with many near the head being taken down, and more to happen soon, with justice being served and a period of peace, with for a time good guys in the ascendancy.

Church

As with prophecy, most of the church (not necessarily The Church that comprise real Christians) are indifferent to the above and more intent to get on with their lives without conflict, including doing what they are told by government. Some do care but rather than rock the proverbial boat feel their task is doing typical churchy stuff like praying, reading the Bible, supporting mission and good works and being nice people. Some prefer to focus on addressing social justice matters like LBGTQ inclusion, climate change and race and immigration. Yet another group believe that things are coming to a head with evil doing and share some of the concerns over things like Corona vaccines and US election steal BUT are of the view the bad guys and Babylonian system discussed in the Book or Revelation are in the ascendancy and soon the Antichrist will emerge and the mask and mandatory vaccines will pave way to the mark of the Beast, but before that the Church is to be raptured. Some, often an alliance of syncrenistic, new age, gnostic types, into conspiracy theories, along with political prophets, believe the Babylonian system we can see as being exposed by the day, if we check out the right places, is about to be taken down, justice will be served and with it will come a spiritual awakening. There is a danger though that whatever camp we are in, even the very elect will be deceived, just as Jesus said would happen.

Conclusion

To reiterate, I have tried to tread a middle path so far as to what I believe is going on and is soon to happen, and to keep it short, believing I may do more good by trying to get people to question what they are being told and believe. The above picture might appear to be a rather depressing one if seen from a purely human perspective, but then the Lord works in mysterious ways and wants to purify the real Church so it can fulfill its potential, including separating eventually the wheat and the tares. If people want to know my opinions on the above are, rather than ramble on, I suggest read my book and my related blogs. One of the advantages of getting old (I would rather be young and know what I know now – but the Lord isn’t going to have any of that) is some things seem a lot clearer and paradoxically the more I know the less I really know. If I can offer a view, it is trust in the Lord come what may and follow Him.

Postscript 30/07/21

It is always encouraging to receive helpful feedback when I write and I appreciate those who found what I shared to be helpful. I especially thank the person who gave a timely reminder, who commented to the effect that in the light of seeing God’s plan coming to fruition, even for some it doesn’t appear that way, that rather than being depressed we should be excited.

David and company, who wrote the Psalms, lived in different times to us, but were they so different? Just like us, he saw evil doers prosper and wrong doing prevail, but he was also beholden to the one he was called to trust and delight in, who surely has the last word and will right wrongs, and will vindicate those who honour Him. We are spoiled for choice but I close with a selection of verses from Psalm 37:

1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. 2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. 3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. 6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. 7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
