Over the past year I have lost the respect and friendship of many respectable Christian friends.
There could be good reasons for this and some of them, if one were to attribute fault, may well be down to me. I suspect one significant reason though are my views, which I am all too ready to share – on issues like Brexit, Donald Trump, Climate Change, Covid-19, racism and a whole range of issues that bother the woke brigade and my willingness to entertain conspiracy theories. But do you know what (and to quote Ricky Gervais) – I DON’T CARE (well not much lol). What I care for though is what does God think?

Things changed drastically early last year with Covid-19. Who would have thought how much this would affect every man, woman and child on the planet? And a year on, we are still not out of the woods. While, from the UK perspective, it looks like it is coming out of lockdown, we are still some way from getting back to normal and when we do, according to many pundits, we have to redefine normal. For many, life after Covid-19 is their number one concern. Putting aside what are God’s concerns? I suggest it ought to be what sort of “Great Reset” is it going to be, of which Covid is a factor.

According to Wikipedia: “The Great Reset is the name of the 50th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF), held in June 2020. It brought together high-profile business and political leaders, convened by the Prince of Wales and the WEF, with the theme of rebuilding society and the economy in what is claimed to be a more sustainable way following the COVID-19 pandemic”. The article then goes on to elaborate what the hopes are for those supporting the Great Reset. Some of these are laudable, even to people like me. Yet there are those who see a more sinister agenda, based around control and coercion, opposed to what those who advocate an alternative Great Reset (who I refer to as the “white hats” as opposed to the “black hats” that promote the former) hope and expect will also happen in the very near future.

There is a growing and often quite disparate movement of those (and I include myself) who believe the evil cabal, epitomized by the portrayal of Babylon the Great in Revelation 18, is about to fall and with it the “black hats” and their minions exposed and prosecuted – of which we mere mortals know but a small fraction. These include child sex trafficking being stopped, a global financial reset, the overturning of election fraud, not just in the US but worldwide, and the criminal cabal by many of the rich and powerful ended.

There is something huge going on as I write and I expect something significant to happen very soon. Sadly, you won’t read about it in mainstream media and social media have been upping the ante by excluding voices that challenge the official narrative. While many conspiracy theories are untrue, some are not (and it is a matter of doing your research) – but the more I look at what is taking place (e.g. Evergreen, Hunter Biden laptops) I am inclined to believe them more than the mainstream media, who create smokescreens with Royal happenings and the latest Boris Covid pronouncement etc.

As I said earlier, it is finding out what God thinks that matters most. Just as I can no longer trust political and societal leaders, I feel much the same about many religious leaders and when it comes to figuring out what is going on in the world I often find “spiritual” types who don’t share my theological outlook are closer to the truth than those who do. Two spiritual types in my theological camp, so to speak, are Dutch Sheets and Jacob Prasch, who see things similarly and also somewhat differently to each other.

Top to bottom: Dutch Sheets, Mark Taylor, Jacob Prasch
I listen to Dutch’s “thought for the day” most days on YouTube. Dutch believes a great spiritual revival is just round the corner and to some extent sees a “white hat” form of Great Reset. Another “political prophet” I follow is Mark Taylor, who has just been taken off You Tube as part of its censoring policies. Mark predicted a Trump presidency long before it happened and despite set-backs predicts a soon to happen second term. Jacob, however, does not share the optimism of Dutch and Mark, and laments the imminence of the Great Reset of the “black hat” variety, believing instead in the steadfast faithfulness of the Living God who will stand by His faithful remnant, just as it always has been – but then he understands the Bible better than any I care to name these days and has figured out what is going on the world – at least the bit that is in plain sight (it is all a matter of perspective is it not?). But then again, while all these men helpfully serve, we must look to the Lord!

I am not a prophet, nor am I a crystal ball gazer (I am merely an ordinary Joe), but I wonder having been so long expecting a black hat Great Reset that things are going to be different both in terms of spiritual revival and a white hat Great Reset (with some of the characters in the meme above coming to the fore). But I would counsel my Christian friends NOT to get over anxious or occupied with what is soon to happen. We must not get side tracked or misled, and to always look to the Lord. I sense many good people since the lockdown and before have been depressed and tempted to lose hope because of the way the world is going. It is time to seek the Lord and to rest in Him, recognising that He is in control. As some readers know, during this past year I have been studying and writing on the Prophets of the Bible. I end with some of their words:

“And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness” Malachi 3:3.
“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” Micah 6:8.
“Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you” Hosea 10:12.
“Do not call conspiracy all that this people calls conspiracy, and do not fear what they fear, nor be in dread. But the Lord of hosts, him you shall honor as holy. Let him be your fear, and let him be your dread” Isaiah 8:12,13.
