It is quite likely that this will be my last blog for three months!

The reason is simple. If all goes to plan (and we have been planning this for several months), in two days’ time, we will be spending three months with our family in India. While not so isolated as to be away from the news altogether, which these days for me mostly comes via the Internet, likely I will have nowhere near the same access as I do have now. Besides, a break to recharge batteries, read, write, reflect, spend time with loved ones etc., away from all sorts of distractions, might do us all good! But before I do, I thought I will share some passing / parting thoughts on these above subjects. I will add the rider: I am going to shoot from the hip (nothing new here of course). If readers want to know more, including back up to what I am about to say, I invite them to read my earlier blogs (this is blog no. 2306!)
Looking at the news
Where to start? Whether people think I am self-appointed / talk twaddle or not, I do see one of my main roles in my twilight years is to be a watchman on the wall, accountable to God, since there are too few genuine watchmen around. While not knowing a lot of what is really going on around us and concentrating on being good Christians sounds piously attractive, for me (and may I say, for you too, dear reader) that is not a theologically sound option. Ignorance is no excuse, since we do need to know how to respond to what is going on and not hide behind Romans 13, even though we know so little, because the Unholy Trinity (media, politicians, societal elites), who are either fools or villains, misinform us and, even if we do know more, more likely than not, we can’t do much about it other than to watch and pray and fight for truth, which if one were to think about it is still something pretty significant.
While part of my day I spend checking out what is going on in the world, typically, I do not watch news from the television or listen to it from the radio and neither do I read newspapers from the mainstream media. I used to, but in recent years as I began to wake up to what is or might be going on, I have come to distrust these sources. I typically check out what comes from alternative sources such as Bitchute, Rumble, Telegram and UK Column. I even include “notorious” conspiracy theorists such as Alex Jones, David Icke and Charlie Ward, who one can count on for interesting insights. Yet I try to adhere to my Bible inspired wisdom to “test and weigh” and since there are often valid alternative perspectives and any news reporting is usually linked to the opinions and world views of whoever is in charge, I try to get a right balance by checking out different sources, even those that do not entirely align to my own views. Much of what I am going to say is not regularly reported on (if at all) and might be seen as more in the domain of conspiracy theorists but, since this is my blog, I am going to list those items that come to mind, and while not going into detail, to put on record how I see things now and what we ought to be looking out for:
Brexit and the EU: While Brexit has gone quiet, this was the first issue as I began my life as a blogger that got certain people riled. I don’t regret being pro-Brexit and anti-EU. The more I know, the more I can see how bad those in charge of the EU really are (who are either clueless or brought, or both), and am even more sure my early instincts were the right ones. It is a shame our UK politicians have not made the most out of the UK coming out of the EU.
Donald J Trump: I’ve been following the Donald from even before he won the 2016 Presidential election. Like marmite, people either love him or hate him. Me, I love the chap because he has the balls to stand up against the scum intent on screwing us and his uncanny knack of showing us how bad the swamp really is. It will be interesting to see how he comes out of the forthcoming trials aimed to bring him down and, given his popularity, how he will fare in the 2024 Presidential election, which I suspect may not even happen.
The 2020 US Election “steal”: I had little doubt at the time that the 2020 US Presidential election was stolen and how bad the guy who stole it was (Joe Biden), albeit a puppet of the cabal responsible for the stealing, besides seeing evidence of how bad the Biden administration is, such as the invasion by migrants of the bad sort, e.g. militant Islamists and child traffickers. Even as I write, there is more evidence of vote rigging coming out and somewhere along the line justice will be done – it is just a matter of when.
The Covid pan (plan) demic: At the time, I smelt something fishy and as the whole hoax played out it became clear that the majority of earth’s inhabitants had been taken in with the scam and were paying the price in all sorts of ways. Taking the jab was then put forward and imposed as the remedy against Covid. We continue to see evidence of the damage done, not least from the reports of excess deaths, compared to recent years, among those “jabbed”.
The War in Ukraine: Putin, his allies and the Russians or Zelensky and his allies (which include Nato, the EU, UK and US governments) – who are the good and bad operatives in the current conflict and who is winning? One thing is clear – the western media and politicians continue to try and convince us (often successfully) that Zelensky and co are the good guys and are winning, when neither proposition is true. Now with the Israel conflict, it seems the anti-Putin alliance have dropped Zelensky in favour of Netanyahu.
The War in Israel: See “Coming to a view on Israel and current events from a biblical perspective”.
UK Politics: Not only are all mainstream parties depressing by being inept and not addressing the issues that need dealing with, but so are the minority parties seeking power, yet there are well meaning people who have chosen the political route, believing they can make a difference, and they need encouraging.
Attacks on liberty: the assault on civil liberties, free speech and trying to control us all continues and there appears no let up in enshrining this is law or impositions placed by social media.
The Transhuman Agenda: not only we being forced to believe there can be more than two genders, or pay the price if we say differently, but it is all part of the plan to replace humans with machines. I have little doubt that the big plan by the cabal is to rid the planet of humans, doing so by whatever means.
All things woke: Not that concern for LBGT rights, immigrants, climate change, racial justice is bad (a lot of my community activism has been to do with such matters) but attempts at making us put these at the top of the list of things we should be worrying about are all part of humanity being brainwashed.
Niger and Gabon: See “What is happening in Gabon?” and “What is happening in Niger?”
Holland and Argentina: We now have new right wing populace governments in these countries, and one wonders what next? While it all seems, this is a sign nationalism is triumphing over globalism, the real war is good versus evil and the interesting question is going to be how this populist (in the face of globalist elites) uprising will be dealt with by the hidden in the shadows cabal.
International Child Trafficking: “The Sound of Freedom and the Bigger Picture” shows us the tip of the iceberg, given this horrendous crime, woefully under reported, extends far and wide and is promoted by the world’s elites.
The Global Financial Reset: I have little doubt this is about to happen and it will affect us all – all the signs are there, beginning with doing away with tangible money and a system based on digital ids and social credit scores, and also as we find banks collapsing and a move toward a world having an asset backed rather than as of present fiat currency. But what will we end up with?
Great Reset, Great Awakening, Great Deception: (see here) So which is it? I have long pondered the question and while I have hoped for a Great Awakening as people realise how bad the evil cabal pushing the Great Reset through their lackeys are, as I find out more about this light versus darkness conflict, it may be until Jesus returns to planet earth on his white horse, we could see Satan stop operating in Prince of Darkness mode, having been rumbled by the “white hats”, and appearing as an angel of light instead!?
Looking at the church
Today I read a timely word (see here) that especially resonated with what I was thinking: “In the realm of Spiritual Warfare, a battle is constantly being fought between the spiritual forces of good and evil, Light and darkness, Truth and deception…. One of the key strategies employed by the enemy, Satan, in this hour is to divide and conquer. Satan understands the power, strength and great blessing and reward found in Unity, and thus, his assignment is to break the bonds that hold God’s People together! … This will require Humility, Love, and an unwavering Commitment to put aside our personal differences and self seeking agendas for the greater good of God’s Kingdom!”
Today (at my church), I listened to a timely sermon (see here). It was titled “Love each other deeply” which is an indication of what the preacher thought the priorities of the church (his church and any church come to that) ought to be, notwithstanding the need for sound doctrine and evangelistic endeavour. Of course, these other priorities are important and it is a stark fact that we (the people of God) seem some way from doing what Jesus commanded: “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” John 13:34,35 or being the answer to His prayer: “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me” John 17:20,21. It is good to be reminded, we all have different gifts and we need one another.
Sometimes, as I recently witnessed first-hand, Christians differ in how they see things and may even decide to part ways – it has ever been thus! At the end of the service, we (my wife and I) were particularly touched by the love and concern expressed to us by different members of the congregation, ahead of our long time away, where we hope we can be a blessing to a different church, yet one with the same essential beliefs but part of a very different culture and set of circumstances. I left with a feeling of optimism that, despite the news related concerns expressed in the last section, that many of which my Christian brothers and sisters may not see in quite the same stark terms as me, there is a solution but it is God’s (not man’s) solution. It does not involve the church as an institution, but it does involve the true Church (ekklesia), i.e.those He has called and has chosen, regardless of denomination, background etc., who He will use to bring about His purposes in this world.
Looking unto Jesus
My big project at this time is writing a book titled “Priests of the Bible” and one of my intentions when going away is to be free from many of my normal distractions, including Internet, that often come my way and thus complete this project. I do so in the hope that it will educate and encourage the people of God. I suspect, of the many important subjects Christians need to be informed concerning; this is not one likely to appear on most people’s list. But the crux of the matter is that God has always sought a relationship with people and it is why He specially chose Israel to accomplish such a purpose. In doing so, he set up a “religious system” involving priests, who acted as intermediaries between God and man.
We have moved on in a way because Jesus is now that intermediary, the Great High Priest through whom the people of God can approach and enjoy a relationship with God, by virtue of His atoning sacrifice and His priestly intercession. Moreover, we are also called to be priests. For example, we read: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light” 1 Peter 2:9.
One thing I have learned and no more so than in recent days – is that I am a great sinner and there is much I needed to repent of, and these were some of the things the Priests had to counter, e.g. the propensity for idolatry while recognising the God who we are called to serve is holy. But I have found that Jesus is an even greater Saviour and it is Him we follow, while God we serve. It is a privilege to be the Lord’s unprofitable servant. There is much we can’t do and much we don’t know, but we can and must be “looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God” Hebrews 12:2.
Dear John, thank you so much as it’s a great blessing to be of nearly one mind in our seeing eye-to-eye.
Thanks for citing my posting of what dear Veronika has brought from the Lord. Maybe you noted how it ‘coincides’ with my focus upon Anglicans’ apostasy, even heresy? And how three postings sat atop my home page are interlinked?
On priesthood, I’ve recalled my dear mother’s hoping I’d be a RC priest. So I pray the Lord be with you on your mini-sabbatical and give you very deep revelations, my friend.
