Nearly eighteen months ago, a project I begun fifty years ago reached a significant milestone. It was setting out my reflections on Solomon’s Song of Songs, published in book form and also made available electronically (see here).

Near the end of 2020, I had a light bulb moment. Having produced a set of meditations (31 to be precise – one for each day of the month) on Song of Songs, why not do the same with Solomon’s other two books of the Bible – Proverbs and Ecclesiastes?
Regarding Ecclesiastes, it is as of now, a matter of watch this space, but concerning Proverbs, I managed to provide a meditation for each day in January on a verse or verses from each of its chapters – which was convenient given Proverbs contains 31 chapters. Having completed this, I have revisited what I wrote, along with my customary tinkering, and added some explanatory text.
In due course (April 2021 if all goes to plan), my “Song of Songs, Proverbs and Ecclesiastes – reflections from Solomon’s three books” will be available for anyone, anywhere to buy. For those who are interested, the second of the three books (Proverbs) is now available electronically (freely download here).
