As some readers of my blog will know I chair an organization called Southend Homeless Action Network (SHAN) that does exactly what is contained in the title. Information about how we came about, what we seek to do, our achievements to date and hopes for the future, and details of our meeting can all be found on the SHAN webpage. I am attending a meeting this coming week, hosted by our local council, around how to tackle homelessness in our town.
