Let me begin by sharing how these days I often prepare when wanting to produce something that I reckon will be profound and contentious. I begin by asking Meta AI some pertinent questions.

Jeremiah, possibly my favourite Bible prophet
If I were asked who is my favourite footballer or cricketer, I would no doubt eventually come up with a name, but I would have been hard pushed to do so because there are several candidates that might have fitted the bill. I face a similar conundrum when it comes to selecting who is my favourite Bible prophet.
Continue readingNotes on Isaiah
Following my recent blog titled “Back to the Emmaus Road and introducing Christ in the prophets” (see here), I want this to be on the first concerning the prophets I am wanting to cover – Isaiah. Rather than a bringing a polished presentation on a huge subject, I offer here the notes I used for the two sessions held at my church when I considered the subject: “Christ in the Old Testament – focussing on the Gospel of Isaiah”.
Continue readingBack to the Emmaus Road and introducing Christ in the prophets
Right now, I’m doing a deep dive into “Christ in the Old Testament” (see here and here), and have already written on what the Books of Moses have to say on the subject (see here and here), doing so from a prophetic, types and shadows and christophany perspective.
Continue readingMy Israel Conundrum (2)
Over the years, and as a regular blogger, I have often posted on matters concerning Israel. This is understandable given that I see my role both as a watchman on the wall and as someone who is compelled to highlight things that I deem as significant for the few who listen to me, and as an assiduous Bible student, including the subject of end times prophecy, where Israel much features. (Edit: I surprised myself to find that I wrote on exactly the same title over eight years ago (see here), revealing a long held conundrum).
Continue readingMishpat
Sometimes in my blogging I come across a subject (whether in my “political” or in my “religious” blogs) that cries out for a deeper understanding than one I possess, yet is so important and relevant to today’s situation that it is something worth discussing despite gaps in my knowledge. In this case, it is to do with a word that often crops up in the Old Testament that is also one rich in meaning.
Continue readingJ.N. Darby and the Roots of Dispensationalism
I have just finished reading a book titled: “J.N. Darby and the Roots of Dispensationalism”, by Professor of History at Queens University, Belfast, Crawford Gribben.
Continue readingKing Jehu, Jehonoadab and the Rechabites, and Donald Trump
The picture below portrays King Jehu inviting Jehonadab into his chariot when he was on his way to clean house (2 Kings 10:15-17 relates). Jehonadab is one of those fascinating, impactful, often overlooked, good guys, mentioned only briefly in the Bible, and was part of the Rechabite clan.
Continue readingSaudi Arabia, Muhammad bin Salman (MBS) and the coming Antichrist
There will be some reading this who will dismiss what follows as yet another rant by an unhinged conspiracy theorist (aka yours truly), with his customary hash attempt to connect the proverbial dots, but there will be others who will agree to varying extents with what I am about to say (and, as I usually do, adding my test and weigh caveat) and will welcome my sharing what I am seeing (I hope humbly) as I watch from my wall. While the non-humble part of me would like there to be a much bigger audience, I am grateful that the good Lord has kept me around to be a pain in the proverbial back side of those he wants to wake up, to do good and to warn to others.
Continue readingThe first three chapters of the Bible are the most important
Recently, my thoughts have once again turned to the words of the Book of Genesis, especially the first three chapters and, that of all the passages in the Bible, this one may be the most significant. We find many great doctrines introduced, many to be elaborated in the rest of the Bible, right up to the very end. Despite, at least in the eyes of many of the skeptics and detractors, these contain much that is of a controversial nature, we do ignore the words to our detriment.
