When ten years ago I began my Trumpwatch series, recognising Donald J Trump to be a/the significant figure of my time, I little realised I would still be blogging about him by virtue of the fact he continues to be at the centre of something significant. Just over two weeks since posting my 74th instalment, I am posting my 75th, and on a subject not covered previously – Venezuela. Less than three days into a New Year, it looks like it won’t be a peaceful one.

But before I get to Venezuela, I want to consider a question that gets well-meaning people worked up and, interestingly, relates to many other issues that divide opinions: is Trump overall a force for good or bad? While some see me as a fan of the Donald, I am far from giving him a free pass as a perpetrator of good, as my seventy-fourth episode (see here) shows. Like many/most world leaders, he is a complex mixture of good and bad and given the fast-moving changes in the world and the difficulty to come to a fully rounded view since we are often more exposed for propaganda and bias rather than truth and facts, so that may be understandable. Yet when I found the following meme on social media, it resonated …

As for the “five exposes” in the meme, borne out by my own the research, including digging deep on those very subjects, often leading me to different conclusions than those presented by the Unholy Trinity (media, politicians, elites), that has contributed to intelligent people having Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) – although I do see that changing, I have to conclude that Trump has been overall a force for good. I could add other subjects, e.g. exposing the Russiagate hoax, exposing the massive fraud scandal in Minnesota, exposing the obscene amount of public money syphoned off by fraud, enabling us to be aware of the fiat currency behind the world’s financial systems, raising hopes with good reason for persecuted Christians living in Nigeria, revealing to the unaware how bad Britain’s Starmer government is, giving hope to the nations of the world that they too can be rid of Deep State baddies, and now what is happening in Venezuela with more exposes to come.

But before I go on and people put me in the Trump can’t do any wrong despite him being wrong on many different fronts camp, I will continue with the thought that when the Devil works he does his worst, not as the Prince of Darkness, as with Obama and Biden and would have with H.Clinton and Harris, along with globalist entities such as the WEF, EU and UN, but as an angel of light, wolves in sheep’s clothing, and this could even include Trump. It is why I cited David Icke in my Trumpwatch 74 who gets more than most what is behind a lot of the evil in the world. He continued to attack Trump concerning Venezuela. Even George Galloway, who gets a lot about today’s craziness, is up in arms over Trump’s actions, attributing dubious motives etc. Just as I was looking to move on with my thoughts, I listened to the opening segment of the latest UKColumn broadcast. This is a good example of alternative media that tries to present truth mainstream media misses that I find worth checking out, yet it too poured doubt on the wisdom of Trump’s actions.

Which brings me to recent events concerning the USA “going into” Venezuela and arresting its president, Maduro, and now having control of that country. I have taken in a lot of the opposing commentary as to what has taken place and where this is leading, and have even bided my time for posting this blog, The best I can do now is to share how I see things, recognising there is much I don’t know and what we see is likely yet another distraction to some of the more consequential stuff to what is really going on in the world. Depending on where one may be looking, this could include more revelations connected to the release of the Epstein files or an imminent global financial collapse or the latest manoeuvring by world powers. A friend asked me my views. I confessed that, while I had a view, it was far from being a fully rounded one. This then is my work in progress answer. I begin with three different postings, among the many to be found on my social media feed, with those who posted offering their opinions.

F* around, find out
“DID TRUMP DO THE RIGHT THING BY GOING INTO VENEZUELA, PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK” – Canon Andrew White.
“The astonishing power of fossil fuel interests, kidnapping President Maduro of Venezuela and flying him out of the country. Venezuela has the largest oil reserves in the world and Trump wanted them. Trump is a massive threat to world peace and a direct threat to Europe. We must take his threat seriously that he will also seize Greenland and its minerals” – Jonathan N. Fuller.
“If you are American and you’re curious about why Trump forced Maduro out, you should read this first…” – followed by thoughts from a Venezuelan who had been forced to leave Venezuela and who is now glad that Maduro who had tyrannised the people is now gone.

With the first of these, those who responded (340 comments in total) there was a mixed response giving a wide variety of thoughts. With the second of these, the great majority of the 161, comprising in the main JF’s echo chamber, who commented, agreed that Trump had done the wrong thing and is to be condemned. As for the third post, this is one of the many examples of postings to be found featuring Venezuelans pleased that Maduro the tyrant is now gone.

I could go down all sorts of rabbit holes, many are open for exploration, and while doing so analyse the numerous reasons, along with the evidence, that either ends up agreeing with Trump’s actions or disagreeing. As it is, I have done a fair amount of checking out, including the three afore-mentioned “disagreeing” voices, and right now take the view that I can’t say for certain to what extent Trump’s actions are ones I agree with. I love the idea of giving the baddies a beating, liberating a nation from an evil ruler who has inflicted much suffering and has caused many to leave, stopping the expansionism of countries like Russia and China with eyes on Venezuela, an often overlooked cooperation with Iran in its opposition to the USA, getting to the bottom of identifying past election fraud, where Venezuela via Systematic have played a part, including in the 2020 US Presidential election, reversing some of the refugee crisis that is causing so much havoc in so many countries in the world, making a big dent in the evil drug and human trafficking trades that pertinently have ruined the lives of many USA citizens, more exposure of past corruption by high-level people who up to now escaped prosecution. I can go on.

I doubt anyone can say if Trump’s motives are 100% pure. Only God truly knows his heart and the motives of even the best among world leaders are invariably mixed. Also, history is full of accounts of great nations and empires doing things to further their interests and it seems quite reasonable if one’s country is being threatened by another, to take action. I will continue to watch and pray, test and weigh etc., expecting significant revelations in the days to come. I agree with my fellow watchman friend when he told me: “I don’t agree with all that Trump says or does, but I think this was a smart move on his part, using American power as an instrument of justice against a tyrannical and illegitimate regime. This will make other rogue nations sit up and take note”. And there I will have to leave it, except to say …

While I get why some of my nice Christian friends take the view it is best not to take sides, and thus lose focus on our heavenly calling and that of being a good neighbour, worker etc., ignorance isn’t an excuse when it comes to letting bad things happen in the world. While there is much we can’t do and lots we should be doing ahead of getting lost down rabbit holes whilst trying to figure out which of and to what extent the contradictory voices are telling the truth, I still want to know what God thinks and how He wants me to respond. I won’t ignore the concerns of those disapproving of Trump’s actions, e.g. a desire for power, influence and monetary gain. I look for a just solution, especially for the Venezuelan people and, while I believe that the evil in the world we are seeing will continue, I welcome attempts to curb it as has just happened.
Trump is elected to protect and provide for America. He is faithfully doing that since his inauguration. Some of his actions may be questionable, but his motivation cannot be challenged.
I am not a person supports the mantra of- ‘end justifies the means’. But I will make an exception in the case of Venezuela. Trump had to move in now to protect the safety of America. Russia, China and Iran already established their beachhead in Venezuela. This needs to be addressed now before it gets out of control. Oil is not his motivation, though it may be one benefit comes with this move. However, this move will greatly benefit the people of Venezuela than anyone else. If Trump Administration plays all the political cards well in Venezuela, his move will bring some political stability in Venezuela which eventually bring peace and stability in that region.
