In Part 1 (see here), I discussed the rationale and motivation behind my selections for an all-time “best” England Test Cricket X1 and an all-time “best” Rest of the World X1. I have been fascinated with cricket since I was a boy, and regularly follow Test cricket. Like many enthusiasts, I love to reminisce on players past and present.

In this (Part 2), I present my all-time “best” Australia, India, West Indies and South Africa Test cricket X1’s in that order. I do so according to my relative interest and knowledge. I look to Australia because they are overall the top Test nation. Because of my India connection, I am naturally interested. As for West Indies, while cricket wise it is presently in the doldrums, it along Australia, alone have produced truly great teams. South Africa is an enigma, having been banned for a good many years, yet consistently producing great cricketers. I have excluded the likes of Pakistan, Sri Lanka and New Zealand as I have less interest and knowledge of their cricket:
