The story has been told of someone who has been waiting for a bus for a long time and then more than one turns up in a matter of minutes. I have this picture in mind as I write this my third earth shattering Trumpwatch episode in a month, noting that lots of huge significance has happened under Trump since being installed as POTUS only three weeks ago. Again, I counsel readers to fasten their seatbelts for controversy, as today I consider Trump AND Israel.

One discovery I have made is that the older I get and the more I know, the less sure I am that the opinions I once held dear are the correct ones, especially when I go down different rabbit holes and “do my research” I find there are many facts I didn’t realise or couldn’t be fully sure of, and those who venture views do so based, or at least in part, on their own prejudices and axioms. This applies both to Israel and Trump. One discerning friend has observed that my once favourable attitude toward Trump has chilled in recent months and she may be right as I come to see that there is a pantomime being played out and that we are all merely players.

What I want do in this latest Trumpwatch episode is to set out what I am seeing in the world of Trump, especially as applying to Israel, while attempting, albeit far from comprehensively, to connect the dots on the world stage, but being aware this is a huge subject that lends itself to extensive research. I have read many articles, and seen many videos on the subject and I have only scratched the surface. As a result, I have to acknowledge that there are alternative and valid perspectives in abundance and there is much I don’t know and dare not predict. My presentation will have to be a somewhat broad brushed one as it concisely attempts to set out what I am seeing when “watching on my wall”, which I hope will inform/challenge readers. Having just watched a video titled: “David Icke Exposes The Psyop – World Alternative Media” (see here) I am again reminded that the only source I can fully trust is God and His Word.
Trump

We are just three weeks into the Trump presidency and already loads have happened, and if it could be said of any US President, the Donald more than any before him has hit the ground running and set the cat among the pigeons. While I have reservations as to how good the man is, I am mindful of his promise eight years ago to drain a swamp that is deeper and dirtier than almost everyone realised, attempts at which I have touched on in my recent Trumpwatch episodes (e.g. see here and here), and I will revisit in this one as concerning Israel, I am overall delighted. I confess to a perverse pleasure when I see people I came to the view as being scum over the years now in meltdown over his many actions that I see as among other results exposing their hypocrisy, whether it is his controversial picks to serve in his inner circle, e.g. RFK Junior, Tulsi Gabbard, Kash Patel and Pam Bondi and the hot issue of the day under Elon Mask, the brains behind the new Department of Government Efficient (DOGE), exposing the monumental fraud that has been propagated by USAID which, rather than helping the poor and needy, benefitted the rich and greedy, propping up bad causes.
Israel / Gaza

Israel is never far away from featuring in the news and, given my understanding of Bible prophecy concerning “End Times”, that ought to come as no surprise! “On October 7, 2023, Hamas and several other Palestinian militant groups launched coordinated armed incursions from the Gaza Strip into the Gaza Envelope of southern Israel, the first invasion of Israeli territory since the 1948 Arab–Israeli War” and events that followed and as related to those attacks and the ensuing responses and reactions by different affected parties have been regularly reported on in mainstream and other media outlets, albeit often unsatisfactorily.

I have discussed at some length Israel and the Gaza attacks along with the responses by Israel, surrounding nations, world powers and assorted interested parties, including Christians holding a range of views, in “Chapter 52: Israel – Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” of my book “Priests of the Bible” (see here) and some of my subsequent blog postings. I hasten to add that Israel’s part in God’s plans, despite as a nation being far from God by dishonouring Him, that God has not washed His of them, ever since His call of Abraham to found a great nation, right up to Christ’s yet to happen millennial reign, is a matter of utmost importance.

The matter has dragged on with little prospect to date of a satisfactory resolution and every prospect of an escalation of hostilities including World War. Trump’s announcement that under his administration the USA will take over and rebuild much devastated Gaza, including relocating Palestinians living in the area to nearby countries, such as Egypt and Jordan, has surprised many, with reactions often on the lines of those people who support the Israeli authorities concerning their response to the October 7th attacks, getting rid of Hamas and their allies, releasing hostages and pertinent given the civilian suffering of the (collateral or deliberate) resultant damage. Of those who have responded negatively, these include Andrew Ashdown, Eva Bartlett, David Icke and Paul Fox, all of whose views I study and respect even when I don’t agree. Along with the likes of George Galloway, Jeremy Corbyn and Stephen Sizer, whose views I also don’t share, NONE are antisemitic yet ALL have been accused of being so and have been cancelled as a result.

There are many others who support Trump’s move, including those with surprising insights into breaking the impasse that pre-Trump we seemed to be heading in, noting that if Israel is to operate as a sovereign nation at peace no mere peace deal will suffice. Two that I found helpful were “The UNSPOKEN Truth About Trump, Gaza & Global Agendas | Maajid Nawaz” (see here) and “Douglas Murray Make Case For Trump Gazan Relocation Plan” (see here). While taking a “middle of the road” position (despite studying what is happening and being pro-Israel due to my understanding of Bible covenants) may mean I could fall out with those on both sides of the argument, this is where I stand, particularly noting getting peace at any cost is how the Antichrist comes to the fore. I continue to watch and pray, test and weigh and expect surprises, and counsel others to do the same.
Christian Zionism

As a result of doing Google searches, I find that Zionism is “an international effort working in the beginning for a Jewish homeland and later for the support of Israel” and that “Christian Zionism is a political and religious ideology that, in a Christian context, espouses the return of the Jewish people to the Holy Land”. Zionism and Christian Zionism have become dirty words in certain circles, including among dedicated and knowledgeable Christians. Zionists are sometimes seen as agents of the evil, elite cabal that causes much havoc on planet earth with their agenda of worldwide enslavement of those who live on it, including the Rothchild dynasty (it was Baron Rothchild, after all, who was the addressee of the much lauded 1917 Balfour declaration that was a key component in giving the Zionists the land of Palestine, renamed back as Israel).

As for Christian Zionists, they may be seen as sincere Christians (many on my own theological wavelength) who because of their belief that those who identify as Jews are God’s chosen people and beneficiaries of the Covenants that He made with Abraham and Moses, yet have been taken in and manipulated by the bad guys running Israel today with their Greater Israel aspirations, who will do what it takes to achieve that end and subjugate those living in the region outlined in Genesis 15:18-21, including deposing all those (typically Palestinians and their supporters) who stand in their way when it comes to achieving their Zionist goals.

This is a big subject and one I begin to address in my writings. I see myself as being a Christian Zionist (if properly defined) and not being beholden to some of the policies and actions of Israel’s leaders and who believes that Deuteronomy 28 concerning the necessity of obedience applies today such that true Jews (not synagogue of Satan types) will only get their land back and live in peace when they acknowledge and bow to their true Messiah. I do believe there are bad Zionist actors on today’s world stage. I believe they have many under their thumb, including Trump and his inner circle that include Christian and other types of Zionists. The meme suggesting Trump is Israel’s bitch, methinks, is not without foundation.

Many have been cancelled who have spoken against Zionism or criticised the actions of Israel’s leaders violating civil rights, accused of antisemitism, which is not the same as anti-Zionism, with the prospect of civil unrest when critics are punished, as might happen. I fear this could happen under Trump as he aligns with Israel’s power brokers. Sadly, too often Israel’s critics have also succumbed to deception. However, true antisemitism has for millennia been a blot on human decency in many cultures, is ever wrong and ought to be resisted. What is needed more than anything today are truth tellers, especially those who align with no lobby or propaganda but live in the fear of God with reference to God’s warning: “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil” Isaiah 5:20. Phew, and I have only just begun to scratch the surface, but I have to move on!
Noahide Laws

I confess, as I built up my list of concerns of what Trump had pushed or is pushing (starting with the Covid jab) to counter the longer list of things I agree with, Noahide Laws wasn’t on my radar before an anti-Trump friend pointed this out as one (of her many) matters of concern. According to Got Questions (see here) “The Noahide Laws are seven ancient laws that many people view as the basis of civilized society. They govern morality and represent the “bare minimum” of what God expects of humanity. They are called the “Noahide” laws because they are thought to have been given in their fullness to Noah after the flood. They are also called the Noachian laws, the Seven Laws of Noah, or the Seven Commands for Noah’s Sons. The idea of a formal set of laws given to all humanity (all the sons of Noah) comes from the Talmud and is therefore extra-biblical. Here are the Noahide Laws:

- Do not deny God (no idolatry).
- Do not murder.
- Do not steal.
- Do not engage in sexual immorality.
- Do not blaspheme.
- Do not eat of a live animal (no eating flesh taken from an animal while it is still alive).
- Establish courts and legal systems to ensure obedience of these laws”.

Trump, along with some of his presidential predecessors e.g. G.H.W.Bush (but even more so Trump with his exceptionally pro-Israel stance) has reacted favourably even if implicitly to the adoption of the Noahide Laws, e.g. “Donald Trump Noahide Laws Exposed by Adam Green” (see here) relates. While it seems we are some way off from seeing the imposition of the Noahide laws, such are the rapid developments being seen under this pro-Israel, peace pushing in the region, president, it is not difficult to envisage a time this may happen. Some more influential advocates of Noahide laws (many of which seem quite reasonable and in line with the Ten Commandments) also suggest harsh punishments, including beheadings (something we read about in the Book of Revelation) of violators, including followers of Jesus who could fall foul given worship of Jesus would be deemed as idolatry.
Third Temple

I have a friend who is, in the main, a Trump and Israel enthusiast, like me, that (unlike me) takes a particular interest in the rebuilding of the Temple (the Second (Herod’s) Temple was destroyed in AD 70) and has never since been rebuilt and where the original Temple site is now hosting two Islamic mosques. As I discuss in my book: Priests of the Bible, the Temple was the centre piece of Israel’s worship of YHWH under the Old Covenant, something many modern-day Jews recognise and is why they support the idea of rebuilding it. In recent times, there has been much activity around the prospect of a soon to be rebuilt Temple and this has gained a good deal of impetus under Trump, following him relocating the USA embassy to Jerusalem during his first presidency, evidenced in the minting of the Cyrus Trump Temple coin (see here).

My first Google search informed me that the ”Third Temple refers to a hypothetical rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem. It would succeed Solomon’s Temple and the Second Temple”. There is a Third Temple website that gives fascinating detail concerning the project (see here), which it claims will: “Accelerate the construction of the 3rd Temple for the benefit of all mankind”. I am in two minds regarding the project. Firstly, given it fails to acknowledge Jesus, the true Messiah, how can it be one that God owns and why should Christians (and some do) support it? It will also be the one where the Antichrist features with his “Abomination of Desolation”. Secondly, my reading of scripture, e.g. the Book of Revelation, suggests a Temple is in place prior to Jesus’s return, but not (in my view) the one described in Ezekiel 40-48. As for Trump, and for reasons already given, it is easy to see him supporting the re-building of the Temple and it will add to his other achievements.
Prophecy Today

The subject of Bible prophecy, especially that which relates to End Times, as well as the question whether there are genuine prophets of the Lord today, is a contentious one, even among dedicated Christians who know their Bible. Yet prophecy, both what the Hebrew prophets said concerning the Last Days and what modern prophets say concerning not so much to do with things about the local church but happenings in today’s world is a very important one and is a subject I discuss at length in my book “Prophets of the Bible” (see here). It is also something I discuss in “Chapter 47: Bible Prophecy and Current Events” in Priests of the Bible, where, unsurprisingly, Trump and the world he relates to features.

My recent End Times prophecy postings all bear some relationship to Israel. My position is that there are many yet to be fulfilled prophecies, Israel has not been replaced and that there will be a millennial reign under the returning Jesus, when a revived Israel truly comes into its own and takes up centre stage:
- The Olivet Discourse – Just as it was in the Days of Noah (see here)
- The End Times and the Second Coming revisited (see here)
- Daniel’s Four Visions – Vision 4: (Daniel 10-12) Kings of the North and Kings of the South (see here)

Regarding modern day prophets, these are a mixed bag. As part of my digging deep into finding out what is going on around Trump and Israel, I check out what some modern prophets have to say. I especially apply my “test and weigh” rider to all that is said. I find Elijah Streams (see here) and Richards Watch (see here) helpful resources. Unsurprisingly, there are those weighing in with their views / what they think God is saying about current Israel/Trump related events, e.g. “Benjamin Netanyahu REVEALS: “TRUMP IS FULFILLING THIS PROPHECY!”” (see here), which is not the only one citing Zephaniah concerning Gaza and the forthcoming Gog and Magog war that we read about in Ezekiel 38 and 39.

Also, concerning Gaza and the demonic hold prophets ancient and modern have seen on the region, related to the Seed War in Genesis 3 and the Nephilim presence pre-flood in Genesis 6 is a “Shocking Revelation” video (see here), to add to my “Days of Noah” post.
Trump – the good, the bad and the ugly

So back to Trump and, more importantly, our response to what are in the main things we cannot (humanly speaking) do much about even if we want to. As I indicated earlier, I have been following Trump ever since he put his hat in the ring to enter the 2016 US Presidential race, noting a lot that he did I believed at the time (and still do) was good and some was bad and ugly. I also pondered the question of his part at a time when the Great Reset (pushed by the bad guys), the Great Awakening (pushed by the good guys) and the Great Deception (that has taken in most of us, including seemingly solid Christians) all vie with one another and, with Trumps recent ascendancy, whether the Devil has switched tactics from operating as the Prince of Darkness to that as a more effective angel of light.

I have also compared Trump with several Old Testament kings, e.g. Cyrus, who instigated the building of the Second Temple, just as Trump might for the Third. I am more inclined to see him like a modern-day Jehu (who like Cyrus was anointed by God). Jehu managed to drain the swamp of his day, i.e. clear out the globalist idols of King Ahab, but sadly he went on to replace these with his nationalist ones. We must wait and see how it will all turn out under Trump. As a seasoned skeptic (I’ve seen through lots of deception) and a questioning realist (some say cynic), while I continue to hope for the best, I feel compelled to urge folk to prepare for the worst, AND that we put our hope and trust, not in Trump but in God alone.
