“It” being the safety and wellbeing of our children that has been under attack throughout the world, besides the UK, on many fronts. Some will argue too little is being done to ensure “It” is satisfactorily dealt with, even though few disagree that the wellbeing of children is important while disputing what this amounts to and how achieved.
In my 10+ years as a regular blogger and one who often posts on social media, I have shared my thoughts concerning many subjects and if I were to analyse what these are I would find several recurring themes, which include the abuse of children which in the worst cases (and sadly there are many examples) involve trafficking arising out of global conflicts and mass population shifts, cases of rape and murder, as well as the widespread indoctrination of children by major players in an ideologically flawed modern culture. It is not my intention to go over how this happens, which range from what arises out of criminal gangs latching onto how they can profit from unrestricted immigration, famous people who are abusers, that are caught after having done their crimes (often coming to light long after) e.g. Jimmy Saville and Jeffrey Epstein (and there are many other high profile persons who are perpetrators), and more recently the Rape gangs operating in many British cities along with a harmful anti-God agenda that attacks, among other things, children’s innocence. While one might hope that this should be a priority by those with the power to do something, I keep hearing that this does not happen and one of the main reasons is those who do the worst crimes are untouchable because of the power they wield.
I have recently touched on the subject of “UK Grooming (Rape) Gangs, which while we are told not to prefix this term is dominated by first or second generation Pakistani Muslim immigrants, and it would be tempting to leave it there as many other issues come to prominence in the news and our attention is drawn to these. But there is a connection with the current government that even more than the government before them is pushing a faulty ideology and leading the country down a wrong path (I speak as a political neutral that is not keen on any UK political party, including Reform). My attention has been recently drawn to the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill. On 08/01/2025 it passed its second reading (364 votes to 111 votes) and now it seems well set to become law.
“The Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill is a key step towards delivering the government’s Opportunity Mission to break the link between young people’s background and their future success. It will put in place a package of support to drive high and rising standards throughout our education and care systems so that every child can achieve and thrive. It will protect children at risk of abuse, stopping vulnerable children falling through cracks in services, and deliver a core guarantee of high standards with space for innovation in every child’s education”.
The above quote is part of the summary found on the government website. The provisions of the Bill are many and far reaching and, pertinent to the title of this article, is supposed to be about making provisions to ensure the future wellbeing of our children. One reason my attention has been drawn to the Bill was that a friend who home schools her children expressed concerns about the impact of the Bill if enacted will have on those who home school their children. She shared them with me as well as some links to online resources where I can find further information on the subject.
The second reason is that the Consevatives proposed an amendment which was resoundly defeated (all Labour MPs voted against) to introduce an enquiry into UK Rape Gangs, to find out what actually went on and stop a reoccurrence. There is no doubt something needs to happen and it is a disgrace that our broken political system, beholden to woke and political correctness has done and is doing little by way of redress, when it should have when the issue came to light several years back and if not then, why not now? I am not going to argue the merits or otherwise of the defeated amendment, which I have no doubt was politically motivated, but rather relate this to the home school issue, which from now on will be my main focus.
Concerning the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill, I have merely managed to check out an overview of its contents (just as I suspect do most MPs, who are told how they must vote). My main focus has been on aspects to do with home as opposed to school based education, where there has been a significant rise in recent years, as much because of parents dissatisfied with the education on offer at schools due to wokeism, low standards and poor discipline. Another home schooler friend took her reception class child out of a supposedly Christian School due to it promoting a transgender ideology. It begs the age old question of what education is meant to be about and who decides if it is not the parents?
The irony and the main reason for my writing on the subject given in the title is that effective measures to stop the raping and psychological damage being done to children, that leaves many traumatised for the rest of their lives, hardly features in the Bill, despite “it will protect children at risk of abuse” claims What is on display is the same Marxist ideology that the Blair government once unsuccessfully tried to introduce, where the State takes greater control when it comes to children’s education (rather than parents) does, already begun by making Independent schools pay VAT and putting some out of business. As part of my research with the idea of coming to a view on where we currently stand in the UK and what is needed (mindful that many disillusioned with this government have other grievances to focus on) is checking out the following:

I am not going to summarise what each video or article shows / says other than focus on the first of my seven examples which is an impassioned presentation by David Kurten, the leader of the Heritage Party. Kurten correctly understands the government agenda, which while not preventing taking children out of institutions that are recognised as schools, which are required to meet certain criteria laid down by the State and its agents, makes it exceedingly difficult and penalises those that do not comply with the various regulations and restrictions that need to be adhered to. The agenda is for the State to take control of children and away from parents, of which a tiny minority may well be unfit as educators (but most aren’t) and is another example of a sledgehammer to crack a nut approach, which may not be so bad if it (unlikely) manages to stop the grooming (rape) gangs. The seventh example cropped up while I was close to finishing this article and is to do with concerns over children’s safety in school (which bothers many parents).
We live in crazy days and the best I can do in my dotage is to speak out against a political class that calls evil good and fail to call out and take effective measures against the evil that is in plain sight and is becoming more evident (on many fronts) as more people begin to wake up. Among other things, they make life difficult for parents who often sacrifice much to either educate their children independently (although many not having the money to do so) or teaching the children themselves, more often than not giving them a better education than what schools do provide. While home schooling may be seen as a side issue, there are underlying greater issues and to do with the wellbeing of children (according to how God and not government sees it) and as Jesus’ words reveal:

Update 22/01/25
And more sources that tell it as it is regarding unaddressed child abuse comes to light e.g. “Education in Crisis: Indoctrination, Funding, and the Fight for Choice” (see here) and “UK Parliament Erupts As Farage And Starmer Clashes Over ‘Pakistani Grooming Gangs'” (see here). I am grateful for the messages of support that I have received. I salute people on the front line speaking out about societal iniquity and especially if taking practical action, like taking their children out of schools that indoctrinate their children etc. I sense people are vexed and angry and I hope that peace, wisdom and justice triumphs over war, folly and hatred that could ensue. I wish I can do more but I will watch and pray and move onto my next issue of concern to blog about.
