The Climate “Emergency” and the Los Angeles Fires

Less than a month ago, toward the end of 2024, I wrote my Watching from my wall (2024/25) – an introduction” blog (see here), where I identified ten concerning subjects, that have come to my attention as a watchman on the wall, that I proposed to write about soon. One was titled: “The Climate Emergency – hoax or for real”, which I knew would be a challenge, especially as I have regular exchanges with friends who emphatically believe climate change is for real, one of which frequently castigates the “right wing” press for denying the climate emergency reputable scientists know is for real, another taking me and others detractors to task for our lack of research, and yet another scornful that anyone should prefer conspiracy theories over scientific facts.

There are only so many hours in the day and there are so many other matters that demand my attention to do this subject justice. I doubt what I have come up with will convince my friends who believe there is a climate emergency that demands a radical solution around taking action to reduce human caused CO2 emissions, a major cause for the emergency which, if not undertaken, will have a devastating, untoward affect on the future of humanity. But I have at least found more reasons to back up my gut instincts and hope will help others who think as I do, as well as fence sitters, who have been told to trust the science and not question those who are in the know, that there is no emergency. I believe what is called for is a factual, proportionate response, including taking more care of our planet.

Because of the limits of my research into matters relating to climate change, a lot of what I am about to offer as a result are links to articles or videos to/by those who have, all making pertinent points and to present my reasons as to why I am sceptical and inclined to the idea that man made climate change (as opposed to something happening due to natural causes in the history of our planet) is not only insignificant but a distraction from what ought to concern us and is an alarm pushed by the bad guys that run our world as part of their depopulation and enslavement agenda. Always, there is a need for humility (we may be wrong) and recognise good people disagree.

The more I try to make sense of this mixed up world, the more I see a key factor is that there is a tiny elite (often hidden) cabal trying to dumb us down with, in recent years, it was the Covid Pandemic, the War in Ukraine as well as man-made Climate Change that needs to be addressed at any cost, including if need be pushing for restrictions on our freedoms and at great financial cost. The latter agenda has been latched onto by globalist entities, such as the UN and the WEF and many governments around the world including, in recent years, successive UK governments (Conservatives – half heartedly and Labour – taking this a lot more seriously, as we will likely see more examples of in the months to come, e.g. moving to net zero and non carbon based fuel dependency). Today, as the USA braces itself for a change of administration from that led by Biden to one led by Trump, it will be interesting to see what will happen next with “climate change denier” Trump in charge, likely pulling back on widely accepted measures designed to address climate change.

I have already posted on the subject of climate change and offered my views, acknowledging that these were based on limited research, yet still stand by what I wrote:

  1. Climate Emergency – The Great Con (see here)
  2. Great Awakening; Great Reset; Great Deception; Climate Emergency; Covid Plandemic (see here)
  3. Climate change denial – a letter to friends (see here)

Part of my research involved checking out Google and X. When I searched for responses to “climate hoax”, the first two pages that presented Google “hits” were all to do with those who were criticising people who had the temerity to suggest man made climate change is a hoax, whereas X gave a much more balanced response. If nothing else, it hammered home the need when researching a controversial subject to widen one’s research. Two names cropped up in my Internet search: Dr Judith Curry and Dr Patrick Moore, both eminent scientists and both having paid a heavy price for challenging the official narrative. From checking out videos found on YouTube, both took a measured approach, yet concluding the man made part of climate change was not particularly significant and the agenda, e.g. that pushed by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) international meeting focusing on climate, with what comes out of COP, the main decision-making body of the UNFCCC that has a major bearing on climate related decisions by western governments, being based more on satisfying political agendas rather than following the science.

In my researching of dissenting voices concerning the beliefs of those of my climate emergency advocate friends who claims to maybe 99% of scientists support their beliefs, I came across a number of credible scientific voices claiming a climate emergency NOT to be the case, some of which I have checked out:

  1. David Bellamy – The Environmentalist With The Courage To Call Out The Climate Scam (see here)
  2. Founder of The Weather Channel Slams Global Warming (see here)
  3. MSM Journos Inadvertently Reveal Shocking Truth About Global Warming (see here)
  4. l don’t have opinions, l have demonstrable facts…. climate hoax (see here)

In wrapping up the first part of this post and before turning to the LA fires that had been recently raging and have come to my attention while watching from my wall, I wouldn’t claim to have proven the case that man made climate change is a hoax, but I would argue that there is enough to go on from my limited research to convince me that there is no climate emergency and the measures being taken to address what is NOT an emergency is both unnecessary and counter-productive, and moreover part of the Great Deception that has fallen on humanity and taken up by the fools and villains that have the power to take measures that are NOT for the greater good but rather serve the interests of the Cabal.

When my well-meaning friends, who take me to task when I express my scepticism, point to the huge human costs of this “emergency”, due to earthquakes, famines, hurricanes and, pertinent to this post, wild fires, I suggest a main causes might include natural ones that have little or nothing to do with human caused CO2 emissions, like what has happened for time immemorial, but there could also be nefarious human factors, e.g. weather manipulation and energy weapons, that have nothing to do with carbon dioxide – but then I am in danger of getting carried away and coming across as a conspiracy theorist, yet I do try to check out what is being said, some in mainstream media and more often in alternative media, although some of what is found in both is clearly fallacious and quite often these present contradictory accounts and thus hiding the truth.

Something else that crops up when discussing energy policy is that of vested interests. I get when friends say those pushing fossil fuels do so because it is in their financial interests. Maybe so, but equally those pushing for renewable energy also have financial and other reasons for doing so, and always there are consequences, not least cost and other, e.g. wind farms negatively affecting the environment. Disturbing, recent developments, such as attacks on farmers, 15 minute cites, digital ids and 5G towers are NOT unrelated. Returning to the various human disasters that keep occurring, some if not all my climate emergency friends believe climate change is a factor in many of these, including the December / January LA fires. Here we note similar common factors as the 2024 Maui fires.

The worrying thing about these fires for me, besides loss of life, huge damage etc. is things don’t add up and that something fishy is going on, e.g. under the governor and mayor, that needs to be properly investigated by people only interested in finding out the truth to prove one way or the other. The good thing is tales of heroic action by first responders and ordinary people being good neighbours. There is no shortage of commentary on the fires and a good deal of it can be construed as conspiracy theory, and there is no clear consensus on causes. But things like depleted water supply, fire hydrants that did not work, fire fighters being told to stand down at critical times, fires appeared to have originated in different areas seemingly unrelated at the same time, insurance rescinded near the time of the fires, companies with vested interests in creating smart cities offering to buy up land (like in Maui) at knock down prices, sending fire equipment near the time of the fire to Ukraine. Of course, I need to research my facts and not rely on the likes of Alex Jones (see here – 2 hours 15 minutes in) to elaborate.

Back to human caused climate change, how to conclude? Even today, one of my “it’s an emergency” friends informed me that: “the scientific consensus that humans are altering the climate has passed 99.9%”. I am not going to further dispute his claim because it is not about who believes what but rather what is the truth. I do wonder though, what one needs to do to be deemed a scientist and thus qualify as one whose opinion matters? I suspect me with my degree in science and having taught science in schools, along with my belief in the importance of the scientific method without worshipping science, would not qualify. I wonder how many have given their views and of that number how many careers depend on coming up with the “right” view given who often funds their research. I have found several times checking out articles and videos, of scientists scared to go against the official narrative and those that do pay a heavy price when they have. I am reminded of the words of one of the greatest scientists of them all, Albert Einstein, when a large number of fellow scientists poured scorn on his theory of relativity, that it only needed one to oppose him with facts to prove that he was right and Einstein was wrong. While “follow the science” sounds a noble goal, seeking the truth is even nobler. This includes investigating the cause of wild fires and that of causes of and remedies to global warming generally.

I continue to doubt if the case has been proven that human caused climate change constitutes an emergency that if not addressed in the ways being proposed and implemented (with huge ramifications to how we live our lives, notably the great costs involved and the likelihood that our freedoms will be further curtailed) will lead to the human catastrophe that is suggested. I suspect, this won’t be my last post on the subject, and as new wide ranging measures are taken because of the narrative around a climate emergency and there will always be more research, often reaching quite different conclusions that need to be to checked out. My own research, thus far, leads me to believe that we are heading for an even worse future as the world heads for an even greater disaster than what we see now and the rule of terror under the Antichrist, and rather than being a major factor, other factors contribute more to this being the likely cause. I see my own task in the few remaining years I have left is to warn folk on what is really going on in the world and urge them to turn to the true Christ, their only true and lasting hope.

Update 25/01/2025

Not surprisingly, those who have commented have usually done so according to what their views were already. The biggest development on the world stage is that newly installed US President has begun to do some those things he was already threatening to do: helping the fossil fuel industry, reversing laws and policies to do with reducing human CO2 emissions, using money that had been designated to carry out the Green New Deal policies of the previous administration and withdrawing from the Paris Agreement, a legally binding international treaty on climate change, and taking action, none of which was to do with climate change, in the light of the aftermath California fires and Carolina hurricanes – all of which I see as positive and begging the question where the UK and the rest of the world goes next. I will continue to watch on the wall as this and other important matters play out, and end with a meme 🙂

While it is true, that as with many memes with a striking message, this one is skewed in order to make its point and it is not comparing like (scientists) with like (other scientists) yet the key question is begged, where does the truth lay and who is influencing policy and public opinion? The following article: Leaked Emails May Show Global Warming Research Is a Fraud” (see here) suggest it is not so clear cut as science declaring beyond almost all shadow of doubt that we are facing a climate emergency as my three friends assure me is happening, but this may/is not necessarily the case.

Another friend posted a link in response to the above of an article by Christian Ministries International, titled: Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) — a biblical and scientific approach to climate change” (see here), which argues: “The biblical and scientific evidence show that human-generated CO2 will produce some warming, but there is no climate emergency“. My response was “thanks for sharing this helpful link. I realise you follow CMI a lot more than I do and it is probable that in my seeking to refute the climate emergency agenda that has come into increasing dominance, I may have lost sight on seeking the biblical perspective. A quick scan inclines me to the view these folk may well be on the right track and maybe an important resource for Christians who are seeking to engage with the culture on the “hot” topics of the day, like climate change, where the temptation is to be bamboozled by those pushing the emergency narrative, often more influenced by cultural Marxism rather than biblical Christianity“.
