I am not sure how to begin but what I want to say comes as a result of my watching on the wall and warning people concerning what I am seeing (albeit limited) and expecting to happen (also based on what I find in the Bible). It doesn’t make for pleasant reading and when I say what I feel I need to say I expect to get flak from my detractors and get it, as has recently turned out to be the case.

Recently (and nothing new about this) I managed to upset someone refusing to enter into a debate with him following earlier comments I made supporting Elon Musk opening up X (formerly Twitter) to free speech activists who would otherwise be shut down from platforms most gravitate toward in order to know what is going on in the world, by “The Unholy Trinity”, which I define as mainstream media, the hierarchy of the main political parties, and those who run and wield financial and other power in the world, for challenging “the narrative” on subjects such as the efficacy of Covid vaccines, the truth concerning climate change and what to do about it, the rights and wrongs in conflicts like those in Ukraine and Gaza, and our response to the LGBT agenda, racism and immigration.

I also write noting the irony that it was Hitler’s fascists as much as any throughout history that successfully managed to do what is being attempted now – shut down free speech to achieve their goals. Now we are finding that many of those who have not succumbed to brainwashing and the Hegelian dialectic too frightened to speak out, a scenario that Orwell pretty well described in his novel, 1984.

I surprised myself when from the beginning of this month I blogged thrice on something happening in the UK that caused alarm bells to be raised given the way I see my country (the UK) seems to be heading and the divisions being seen, egged on by elements of the afore-mentioned Unholy Trinity. I saw it as far deeper reaching than a difference in opinion between the so-called racist leaning, far right who may well overdo the immigration bit but see something disturbing happening to their country and those who welcome a more inclusive, diverse society, happily waving the anti-racist flag, but something that shows the tell tale signs from what we are seeing makes me think we are in for something that is a lot worse, such as what one friend from the first group posted concerning where we may be heading, no doubt to the disapproval to many in the second:

1. A summer of attacks and riots in Britain and unravelling the ‘narrative’
2. A summer of rioting, Southend affected, peacemakers needed, and a Christian response
3. Are we in or heading for a civil war?

I am conscious of the proverbial rewinding gramophone record and my attempts, often unsuccessful, to avoid being one, but I would urge folk who want to know what I really think to check these out in the order in which I wrote so I can cut to the chase without going over old ground. I do see a country that has lost the favour of the Almighty as articulated in the “test and weigh” words of a modern day “real deal” prophet: “Strong Word of Warning to Britain – Veronika West”. I realise for me it means stepping up to the plate and besides warning people and inviting them to turn to the Lord, I need to be an exemplar of what is needed by the people of God, who I feel have too often been distracted by the pre-occupations of the current culture and (often politely) ignore how things truly are, distancing themselves from those who, like me, express their concerns and urge a response. There is of course a need to differentiate between opinion and fact and to examine our motives for believing and saying as we do, and we need to be driven by love rather than hate and a desire for truth amidst deception.

Given I might well come under the category of Hillary Clinton’s “basket of deplorables”, or, more recently, included among those that Keir Starmer labels as “far right extremists”, who have been singled out as the main threat to the good of the nation. I feel I may as well defer to those more intelligent, articulate and knowledgeable than me as to what is going on and invite folk to check out what they had to say but at least reflect on my reflections on what they said. The issue on the surface is one of attacks on free speech and where this may be heading (this is but a small selection of what I have checked out), none of which was found on mainstream media. All the people I refer to are in danger of being shut down if things continue as they are, when government representatives have already stated their intentions including pressurising social media to stop such conetent, and given the narrative deemed acceptable is the official one and where those who dissent pay the price, and the line between truth and opinion is blurred leading to polarised positions:

A Facebook friend who lamented the fact that one of his “innocuous” posts had been taken down: having spent time in Facebook jail for violating their “community standards” I am not surprised and can identify with this. Ironically, as things currently stand, the few of my posts taken down are imho in the innocuous category and those that are more “hard hitting” have been left alone.

So… They’re Lying About Project 2025 (Russell Brand): where better to end than with thoughts of recently converted Christian, Russell Brand (currently operating in the USA, where similar concerns apply just as in the UK and other parts of the world), who is joined by his growing band of “awakened wonders”.

I was not sure how to end but, since I earlier brought up the subject of prophets, I quote from George Orwell and his 1984 novel and refer to the plea given by the Hebrew prophet, Hosea:
